I. What types of information do we collect?

In order to provide Wedgram, we need to process information about you. The types of information we collect depend on how you use Wedgram. You can learn how to access or delete information we have collected by visiting Wedgram Settings.

Things made and provided by you and others.
  • Information and Content You Provide. We collect the content, communications and other information you provide when you use our app; this includes registering for an account, creating or sharing content, and messaging or communicating with others. This may include information about the content you provide or that is included in it, such as B. the location where a photo was taken or the date on which a file was created. Our systems automatically process content and communications that you provide in order to analyze the context and the details contained in them for the purposes described below.   • Networks and Connections. We collect information about the people, accounts you are connected to and how you interact with them on our app; these are, for example, people you communicate with the most or groups you belong to. We also collect contact information when you upload, sync or import it from a device (such as an address book or call log or SMS log history). For example, we use these to help you and others find people you may know and for the other purposes listed below.
  • Your Usage. We collect information about how you use our app, such as the types of content you view or interact with, the features you use, the actions you take, the people or accounts who you interact with and the time, frequency and duration of your activities. For example, we log when you are currently using our app and when you last used it, and what posts, videos and other content you view in our app. We also collect information about how you use features like our camera.
  • Information about transactions made on our products. When you use our products for financial transactions, we collect information about the purchase or transaction. This includes payment information, such as your credit or debit card number and other card information, other account and authentication information, and billing, shipping, and contact information.
  • Activities of others and information they provide about you. We also receive and analyze content, communications and information that other people provide when they use our app. This can also be information about you, for example when others share or comment on a photo of you, send you a message or upload, sync or import your contact information.
Device information

As described below, we collect information from and about your computer(s), phone(s), connected TVs and other internet-connected device(s) that have an integration with our products. We then combine this information across different devices you use. For example, we use information we have collected about your use of our app on your phone to better personalize the content (including ads) or features you see when you use our app on another device, such as your laptop or tablet, or to measure whether you took an action on another device in response to an ad we showed you on your phone.

The information we receive from these devices includes:
  • Device Attributes: Information such as the operating system, hardware and software versions, battery level, signal strength, available storage space, browser type, app and file names and types, and plugins.
  • Operations on the device: Information about the operations and activities performed on the device, such as whether a window is in the foreground or background, or mouse movements (this can help distinguish humans from robots).
  • Identifiers: Unique identifiers, device IDs and other identifiers, such as those from games, apps or accounts you use and family device IDs.
  • Device Signals: Bluetooth signals and information about nearby WiFi access points, beacons, and cell towers.
  • Device Settings Data: Information that you allow us to receive through the device settings you enable, such as access to your GPS location, camera or photos.
  • Network and Connections: Information such as your mobile or Internet service provider name, language, time zone, mobile phone number, IP address or connection speed, and in some cases information about other devices nearby or on your network so that we can assist you with this, such as streaming a video from your phone to your TV.
Information from Partners.

Advertisers, app developers and publishers can and through the Wedgram business tools they use, e.g. our social plugins (such as the “Like” button), send information. These partners provide us with information about your activities outside of the app, including: Information about your device, websites you visit, purchases you make, advertisements you see and how you use their services, whether you have an account or are logged in to our Products. For example, a game developer could use our API to tell us what games you play, or a company could tell us about a purchase you made at their store. We also receive information about your online and offline actions and purchases from third-party data providers who are authorized to provide us with your information. Partners receive your data when you visit or use their services, or through third parties they work with. We require each of these partners to have the legal rights to collect, use and share your information before providing any information to us.

II. How do we use this information?

We use the information available to us (subject to choices you make) as described below and to provide and support the Wedgram App and related services. This is done as follows: Providing, personalizing and improving the App We use the information we have to provide our product, including to personalize features and content (including your ads) and to make suggestions to you on and off Wedgram (such as groups or events you can participate in might be interested, or topics you might want to subscribe to). To create personalized products that are unique and relevant to you, we use your connections, preferences, interests and activities. This is based on the data we collect and learn from you and others (including any specially protected data you provide for which you have given us your express consent); on how you use our product and on the people, places or things you are connected to or interested in on and off the app.

  • Location-based information: We use location-based information - such as your current location, where you live, the places you like to go and the businesses and people around you - to provide you with our app, including advertisements, and to improve it. Location-based information may be based on things such as precise device location (if you have allowed us to collect it), IP addresses, and information about how you and others use Wedgram (such as places you have visited or events you have attended).
  • Product research and development: We use the information we have to develop, test and improve our app, including: by conducting surveys and studies, testing and troubleshooting for new products and features.
  • Ads and other sponsored content: We use the information we have about you – including information about your interests, actions and connections – to select and personalize the ads, offers and other sponsored content we show you. Provision of measurement, analysis and other business services.

We use the information we have (including your activity outside of our app, such as the websites you visit and the ads you see) to help advertisers and other partners measure the effectiveness and distribution of their ads and Measure Services and understand the types of people who use our Services and how people interact with our websites, apps and services. This is how we share information with these partners.

Promoting protection, integrity and security.

We use the information we have to verify accounts and activity, combat harmful behavior, detect and prevent spam and other negative experiences, maintain the integrity of our app, and ensure privacy and security on and off Wedgram support financially. For example, we use the information we have to investigate suspicious activity or violations of our terms of service or policies, or to determine when someone needs help.

Communication with you.

We use the information we have to send you marketing communications, to communicate with you about our app, and to inform you about our policies and terms of use. We also use your information to respond to you when you contact us.

Research and innovation for social purposes.

We use the information available to us (including from research partners with whom we work) to conduct and support research and innovation on issues of social good, technological advancement, public interest, health and well-being. For example, we analyze the information we have about migration patterns in crisis situations to support relief efforts.

III. How is this information shared?

Your information is shared with others in the following ways:

People and accounts you share or communicate with

When you share and communicate content using our app, you choose the audience for the content you share. For example, when you post something, you select the audience for the post: e.g. B. a group, all your friends, public, or a custom list of people. In addition, your network can see the actions you have taken on our app, including interactions with ads and sponsored content.

Public information can be seen by anyone on or off our app, even if he/she doesn’t have an account. This includes your Wedgram username, any information you share with a public audience, and information shared on your public profile or content. You, other people using Wedgram, and we may provide access to or send public information to anyone on or off our Products, in search results or through tools and APIs. Public information can also be accessed or accessed through third party services such as search engines, APIs and offline media (e.g. TV) and apps, websites and other services that integrate with our product viewed, reshared, or downloaded.

Content that others (re)share about you

You should be careful about who you share content with, as the people who can see your activity on the app can share the content with others on and off Wedgram, including non-target individuals and companies who you shared the content. For example, if you share a post or send a message to certain friends or accounts, they can download, screenshot, or reshare that content with others on or off the app, in person-to-person, or virtual reality experiences . In addition, if you comment on someone else’s post or react to their content, your comment or reaction will be visible to anyone who can see the other person’s content; moreover, such a person can later change the target group.

People can also use Wedgram to create content about you and share it with the audience they choose. For example, people can share a photo of you in a story, mention or tag you in a location in a post, or share information about you in their posts or messages.

IV. Information about your active status or your presence on our app.

People in your networks can see signals that tell them if you’re active on our products.

Third party apps, websites and integrations that run on or use the App.

If you use third-party apps, websites or other services that use or integrate with our product, they may receive information about what you post or share. If you download or use such third-party services, they may also access your public profile and any information you share with them. However, apps and websites you use cannot receive any other information from you about your Wedgram friends. The information collected by these third party services is subject to their own terms of service and policies and not this Data Policy.

If there is a change in ownership or power of all or a portion of the App or its assets, we may transfer your information to the new owner.

Sharing with external partners

We work with external partners who help us provide and improve our products or use Wedgram business tools to increase business. This allows us to operate our businesses and provide free services to people around the world. We do not sell any of your information to anyone and will never do so in the future. We also set strict rules about how our partners can use and disclose the information we provide. These are the types of third parties with whom we share information:

Partners who use our analytics services.

We provide aggregated statistics and insights to help people and businesses understand how people are interacting with their posts, classifieds, pages, videos and other content on and off Wedgram. Wedgram site admins get e.g. B. Information about the number of people or accounts that have viewed, reacted to, or commented on their posts, as well as aggregated demographic and other information to help them learn about interactions with their account or Wedgram Page.

Advertisers.

We provide advertisers with reports about the types of people who see their ads and the performance of their ads, but we do not share information that personally identifies you (information such as your name or email address, which on its own can be used to contact or identify you) unless you allow us to do so. For example, we provide advertisers with general demographic and interest-based information (e.g. that an ad was viewed by a woman aged 25-34 who lives in Madrid and is interested in software development) to help them target their audience to understand better. We also confirm to an advertiser which ads caused you to make a purchase or take an action.

Partner for measurements.

We share information about you with companies who aggregate it to provide analytics and measurement reports to our partners.

Partners who offer goods and services in our products.

If you subscribe to receive premium content or purchase something from a seller in our app, the content creator or seller may receive your public information and other information you share with them, as well as the information necessary to complete the transaction, including shipping and contact information.

providers and service providers.

We provide information and content to vendors and service providers who support our business (e.g. by providing technical infrastructure services, analyzing how our app is used, providing customer service, facilitating payments or conducting surveys).

Researchers and scientists.

We also provide information and content for research partners and academics to conduct research that drives research and innovation in support of our business or mission, and to drive discovery and innovation on issues of social good, technological advancement, the public interest, improve health and well-being.

law enforcement agencies or legal requests.

We share information with law enforcement or in response to legal requests in the circumstances set out below.

V. What is our legal basis for processing data?

We collect, use and share the information available to us in the ways described above:

  • As necessary to comply with our Wedgram Terms of Service;
  • According to your consent, which you can withdraw at any time via Wedgram settings.
  • As necessary to comply with our legal obligations.
  • To protect your vital interests or those of others.
  • As required in the public interest.
  • The implementation of booking and transactions without liability
  • As necessary for our legitimate interests (and those of others), including our interests in providing innovative, personalised, secure and profitable services to our users and partners, except where those interests override your interests or fundamental rights and freedoms that require the protection of personal data.

VI. How can you exercise your rights granted under the GDPR?

You also have the right to object to certain processing of your data or to restrict it. This includes:

  • The right to object to our processing of your data for direct marketing, which you can exercise by using the "unsubscribe" link in such marketing communications, and
  • the right to object to our processing of your data if we are performing a task in the public interest or are pursuing our legitimate interests or those of a third party.

VII. Data Storage, Deactivation and Deletion of Accounts

We store data until it is no longer needed to provide our services and Wedgram, or until your account is deleted, whichever comes first. This is a case-by-case determination that depends on things like the nature of the data, why it is being collected and processed, and the relevant legal or operational storage needs. For example, if you search for something on Wedgram, you can always access and delete that query from your search history; however, the log of this search will only be deleted after 6 months. If you submit a copy of your government-issued ID for account verification, we will delete that copy 30 days after verification, unless otherwise noted. If you delete your account, we’ll delete things you’ve posted, such as your photos and status updates, and you won’t be able to recover that information afterwards. Information shared about you by others is not part of your account and will not be deleted. If you don’t want to delete your account, but just want to temporarily stop using the app, you can deactivate your account instead.

VIII. How do we respond to legal requests or how do we prevent damage?

We access, maintain and share your information with regulatory, law enforcement or other authorities:

  • In response to a legal request, when we have a good faith belief that the law requires us to do so. We may also respond to legal requests when we have a good faith belief that the response is required by the law of the applicable jurisdiction, affects users in the applicable jurisdiction, and is consistent with internationally recognized standards.
  • When we have a good-faith belief that it is necessary to: detect, prevent, and prosecute fraud, unauthorized use of the App, violations of our Terms of Service and Policies, or other harmful or illegal activity; to protect us (including our rights, property, or products), you, or others, including: in the context of investigations or requests for information from the supervisory authorities; or to prevent death or imminent bodily harm. For example, where relevant, we will provide and receive information about the trustworthiness of your account from third party partners to prevent fraud, abuse and other harmful activities on and off the App.

Information we receive about you (including financial transaction data related to purchases made in our app) may be accessed or retained for longer periods of time if it is the subject of a request or duty of a legal, governmental investigation or investigations of possible violations of our Terms of Use or policies, or to otherwise prevent harm. We also retain information about accounts that have been disabled for Terms of Service violations for at least one year to prevent repeat abuse or other Terms of Service violations.

IX. How do we process and transfer data as part of our global services?

We share information globally in accordance with this policy, both internally and externally with our partners and also with those you connect and share with around the world.

X. How will we notify you of changes to this policy?

We will notify you before we make changes to this policy. You will then have an opportunity to review the revised policy before deciding to continue using our app.
